ROLE OBJECTIVE:


Under the supervision of the Vice President, Information Technology, the Enterprise Technology Specialist at Environics Analytics (the “Company”) designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software applications and components; supports and/or installs software applications and components; and works from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to meet enterprise system requirements.

 


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

To effectively fulfill the responsibilities of this position, the employee must be able to complete the following:


  • Design, modify, implement, test, and document applications for the Company’s office process flow automation projects and IT infrastructure based on functional requirements that include system and program structure design
  • Maintenance, performance tuning, and support of implemented software by identifying and correcting software defects
  • Research technologies required for projects to aid in software selection and troubleshooting system errors
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement
  • Investigate and develop skills in new technologies
  • Provide support to internal and external customers for complex issues
  • Participate in the development of user manuals and other documentation



QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

  • Education – The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Experience – 2+ years of software development experience is preferable, ideally in a Windows environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
    • Knowledge of scripting/programming in PowerShell and/or Python
    • Experience with development in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Sharepoint, and Teams environments
    • Experience with programming in .NET, C/C++, C#, SQL, XML, Java Script
    • Experience with software development life cycle, GIT and/or Azure DevOps
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows SDK
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, Reporting Services and Integration Services an asset
    • Knowledge of network security is an asset
    • Strong problem solving and debugging skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution
